UNOFFICIAL SIX

BLURB:

Evan Griffin moved into his remote country house with all the excitement and promise of a new start. He thought he'd found it until the strange noises began… When the attacks became physical, he was left bruised and battered and desperate for help.

When Evan walks into the offices of paranormal investigators, Knight & Stone, Ross Stone is dumbfounded by the injuries the man bears. Injuries Evan insists were caused by an unseen assailant in his own home. Something in the man's eyes tugs at Ross's heartstrings. Does he dare risk getting close to Evan when he is fighting his own demons?

This week's six...

"Would you think I was totally insane if I asked you to kiss me?"
"Evan," Ross's voice was gentle and soothing as he took the other man's slender fingers in his. "You're under a lot of pressure and I'm not going to take advan—" His flow was cut off by the sudden press of Evan's mouth to his. His immediate thought was how soft Evan's lips were, quickly followed by a half-hearted attempt to tell himself that he should stop this. But then Evan's tongue teased along the seam of his lips and he was unable to form a rational thought beyond, more right now.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

Good morning.... this week's six comes from one of my current WIP's... I Can See For Miles....

To set you up... Josh has been taken to Camp Aisling, a camp for the blind, by his friends Mario and Greg. Stepping into the office... he hears the voice of Charlie Sayward... the founder of the camp....

“Maggie!”
Josh tilted his head toward the sound of the voice.  He felt something warm unfurl in his belly as he let the tone and timbre wash over him.  Josh had always thought that it was an old wives tale, you know, that old saying that when you lost one of your senses, the others became heightened to compensate – but it was true.  Scents, the way something felt beneath your fingertips, how things tasted had all changed and sounds...they had seemed to develop a description all their own and the voice he had just heard?  That voice sounded like the slow burn of whiskey rolling across your tongue and sliding down your throat before the warmth of it settled in your stomach and expanded in your chest.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

I've been MIA for a while as far as the six are concerned, but hopefully I'm returning with a doozie!

This week's six comes from Going Under...

"Please," he mumbled, crying out when his face was pushed harder onto the cold surface, his swollen eye screaming out at the abuse. "I don't know what you want. Why are you doing this to me?"
As suddenly as it began, it ended. The pressure on Evan's head was gone and the knife had fallen back onto the bench, not moving, returning to the inanimate object it was. Using his hands and whimpering at the movement, he eased himself upright and his gaze immediately fell on the chopping board beside his fingers. Carved into the wood were three shaky words:  You know why

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday where you are treated to six sentences from uber-talented writers to whet your appetite.

This week's six are from ALWAYS HOPE.   In this scene... Ash has landed in Mobile Alabama and has an unexpected chauffeur waiting for him...

“I’m Ashdon Watts—someone’s waiting for me?”
“I am.”
Ash turned on his heel at the rich, deep voice behind him and found himself looking into the piercing blue eyes of… well… an honest to God cowboy. The Marlboro Man, skittered across the surface of his tired brain, as did the vague awareness he was staring, slack-jawed at the handsome, rugged man in front of him. Ash’s gaze couldn’t help but wander over the clean swell of the man’s biceps where his arms were crossed over his chest, or the bunch of muscular thighs beneath the soft denim of his jeans. The man lifted a work-roughened hand and removed his hat and Ash hoped the involuntary gasp came from the woman at the desk and not from him when a curtain of sweat-dampened, chestnut hair tumbled onto broad shoulders.

UNOFFICIAL SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

RELEASED ON 21 JANUARY 2012

            "Are you afraid?"
            "Should I be?"

“I don’t know,” the vampire directed the question to the man who had joined them. “Do you think he should be afraid?”
He reveled in the fear that widened the boy’s eyes as the moonlight glinted off their elongated incisors, and laughed when his companion said menacingly, “Very.”
The boy didn’t even have time to scream as they fell on him.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

This week's six is from Masquerade: Behind the Mask.  Gabe has just received a letter from Mike, his partner.....

He'd taken a few, deep steadying breaths and leaned back in his chair, his gaze firmly fixed on the first word as though he'd never seen his own name before. Mike had written his name a million, hell, a trillion times in the last four years. His lips had lifted as he'd remembered the myriad of random Post-it notes Mike had left him around the house through the years. Some important, like pick up the dry-cleaning, but most had been even more important, simply three little words hastily scribbled. The main reason he'd hesitated for so long before reading? Oh, just the little fact that Mike had been dead since the beginning of August and letters from the grave were not exactly expected.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

This week's six is from Unshakeable Faith...

Brody and Nash have been to a bar and Brody heard Nash in the bathroom stall with another guy.  He tries to justify Nash's actions to both himself and his friend Wyatt...

Brody drew in a breath, mortified to feel it hitch in his
throat when the door opened and closed, and he felt the bed dip
as Wyatt lay down beside him.
At the first touch of Wyatt’s fingers through his hair, he lost
it, turning and curling into Wyatt’s side.
The pain in his chest was overwhelming as he tried to hold back
the sobs wracking his torso, when Nash’s shadow passed the door
and the master bedroom door closed with a loud click.
Brody’s voice was thick and raw in the quiet of the room,
and he buried his face in Wyatt’s T-shirt.
“It’s not like he… cheated on me… ’cause he doesn’t remember… we’re a couple.
But….” He swallowed, unable to hang on to his control.
“It sure as hell… hurts just as bad.”

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!

Good morrow wonderful reader!  This week's six is from Unshakeable Faith, which is due for release by Dreamspinner Press on the 28 November 2011.

BLURB
Of all the bars in all the towns in all the world, the stranger walks into Brody Tyler’s. With no memory and a name he chose from a newspaper, Nash is a gamble—one Brody is willing to take. It isn’t long before Brody and Nash fall in love, but then a tragic accident shatters their cozy world, resetting Nash’s memory once again.

The “new” Nash Walker is a businessman with a bottom line, and he doesn’t care what or who gets stomped on. Waking up in a hospital bed after a hit-and-run with no idea where he’s been for the past six months is bad enough, but someone trying to kill him is even worse. Enter Brody Tyler, accidental bodyguard.

Brody’s determined to help Nash remember and bring back the man he loves. Nash thinks Brody’s a drop-dead gorgeous pain in the ass. If only he could remember….

****

Forty-five minutes later, after no sign of Nash, a frantic Kristie was on her cell to Brody.
She’d arrived back at the truck and Nash was gone, and no one had seen him.
Brody closed up the bar and he and Wyatt drove to the wholesalers in his rust bucket.
When they got there, Wyatt comforted Kristie while Brody checked all around
the truck and in a few of the surrounding shops to ask if they had seen Nash,
showing them a snapshot from his wallet. They all shook their heads in apology,
they hadn’t seen him. Leaning against the side of the truck, Wyatt put a comforting
hand on his shoulder as Brody dialed three numbers on his cell.
“I need the police.”

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!

Today's six comes from Forever Dusk, which is released by Silver Publishing on the 29 October...

When Theo decides to drag Jonah to a fabulous new club, he reluctantly agrees. Five minutes inside Forever Dusk, a theme club for wannabe vampires, is more than enough for him -- until he catches the violet gaze of the mysterious owner, Sebastian O'Keefe. Inexplicably drawn to the vision of tall, dark and mysterious, Jonah makes a decision that could change his life forever.

"Absolutely," Theo replied, "now after all that caring and sharing, I feel the need to go look for my balls, and I know just the lady to give me a hand."
Jonah smiled and rolled his eyes as he watched Theo weave his way through the crowd of dancers and toward the booth Clarissa had appropriated. He had no desire to sit next to them and watch them suck each other's face off all night, so he turned and made his way across the floor to the bar. Dodging various sets of hands making a grab for his ass, he kept his eye firmly on an empty barstool and released the breath he had been holding when he finally slid said ass onto the plush leather seat. Jonah smiled ruefully and gave a small shake of his head as he reached into his back pocket for the twenty he had slipped in there before he left the apartment. He hadn't been groped this many times in one night since he'd stood in line for the bathroom at the Scissor Sisters concert he took Theo to last year.

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!

This week's six is another snippet from Contintental Divide, my collaboration with the uber-talented Laura Harner.  She posted a little excerpt for her unofficial six and now here's my bit...enjoy :)

Remy and Jamie have returned from the club, where they worked to cement their cover as Jamie, the Earl having fallen from grace, and his "man", Remington, who can get the Earl what he wants, when he wants...however, Jamie feels that Remington is taking his role too far and is angry that the stupid Yank could so easily palm him off on another man, and tells Remy so.  However, Remy's reaction is more heated than Jamie anticipated...

“Remy, please,” Jamie moaned his hands moving feverishly over the taut skin of Remy’s back,
the bronzed flesh burning where he touched.
“Jamie,” Remy growled, rearing up on his hands and gazing down at Jamie.
“I can’t do slow, don’t…know how.”
Feathering his fingers through Remy’s hair, Jamie pulled him down and
licked his way into Remy’s willing mouth, swallowing the moan that vibrated
in the muscled chest against his.
When he finally let Remy up for air, he shook his head.
“Don’t need slow, just need you,” he gasped arching into the weight
of Remy’s body, desperately seeking the friction he craved.

I hope you liked it... Continental Divide will be out later this year!  Please don't forget to do the clicky and check out all the other fabulous entrants for this week's Six Sentence Sunday

UNOFFICIAL SIX!

UNOFFICIAL BECAUSE ALTHOUGH I REMEMBERED TO PICK SIX - I FORGOT TO SIGN UP FOR IT - DOH!!

This week's six comes from my latest short story...due for release on the 5 October with Dreamspinners.

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Lucas is sure he’s made a mistake—it has to be painfully obvious he’s never been to an underground gay club before. He doesn’t do things like this—he’s too shy, too reserved. He certainly doesn’t expect to be felt up by a total stranger as soon as he walks in the door. But just as he’s talking himself into leaving, the hottest guy in the place with the most beautiful green eyes he’s ever seen pulls him onto the dance floor. Green Eyes insists on “no names, no strings…” and just this once, Lucas is inclined to agree....

He brushed his hand down Lucas' body and palmed Lucas' hard cock through his pants.
Green Eyes smiled as his actions drew a whimper from Lucas.
"I want to feel this in my mouth. Suck you in all the way and make you come
before I bury myself in that tight ass."
His eyes were blown wide with lust as he stared deep into Lucas' and said softly,
"All you have to do is say yes."

I hope you enjoyed the snippet...check out the rest on the 5 October over at Dreamspinner Press

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!

Welcome to this week's six.

Contintental Divide is the current WIP of the collaboration of Laura Harner and myself.  Let me set the scene...

In their attempt to go undercover at the UN, Jamie, Earl of Fordham, has to engineer a public falling out with his family.  Knowing how his mother hates his face in the papers, Jamie and Remy attend a local gay club and put on a show for the papparazzi.  But their desire for each other is ignited by their situation and before Jamie knows what's happening, the show they're putting on is all too real.  Unfortunately...back in their suite, the outcome is not the one Jamie was expecting...

Opening his eyes as Remy’s weight left him, he smiled and stretched languidly while Remy cleaned himself up with a T-shirt that had been discarded earlier before they’d left. Then the butterflies started to tremble in his stomach when he realized that Remy was buttoning his shirt with hasty fingers. He watched, in stunned disbelief as Remy tucked himself back into his jeans and zipped them up. “Remy?” Jamie flinched at the coldness of Remy’s gaze as he lifted his arm and casually checked the watch on his wrist. His words echoed in Jamie’s ears long after the door of the suite had slammed behind him.
“I hope you enjoyed the show, but if you’ll excuse me, I’m off the clock, boss.”

I, like Remy, hope you enjoyed it.  Don't forget to do the clicky clicky and check out the miriad of uber-talented writer's who have their sixes waiting to delight you over at Six Sentence Sunday and I shall see you next week....until then....

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!

SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY

As there are only six days until the release of Chasing the Dream, I thought it only fitting that this week's six should come from my contribution, 'Dreaming of You'.  Let me set the scene, Noah has just awoken from a very sexy dream about a mysterious stranger....

"Eww, dude! Cover yourself!"
Noah's eyes opened so fast he was surprised his eyelids didn't get whiplash.
"Eve?" he rasped, his gaze blearily moving around the room,
searching for the man who had been in his bed moments before.
When had the sun come up?
Is he under the bed?
The random thoughts skittered across the surface of his
mind as his assistant threw the blanket over him,
covering his raging hard on.

I hope you enjoyed this little teaser and that it has enticed you to want Chasing the Dream for yourself.  Please make sure you check out all the other wonderfulentries to this week's Six Sentence Sunday by doing the clicky, clicky RIGHT HERE
