I opened my eyes slowly and blinked, trying to focus. It was dark and my hands were tied behind me. What happened? The gorgeous guy, the wine then nothing—he must have spiked my drink.

“Good, you’re awake.”

His hot breath blew against my ear, sending shivers down my spine. His fingers curled around my throat, lifted my chin. My shirt was open and my heart raced beneath his other hand.  “You ruined my favourite tie, Pete,” I rasped.

“I’ll replace it, now shush, Happy Anniversary,” he licked the skin behind my ear.

I moaned, and smiled softly, “Happy Anniversary.”
