SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!

This weeks six comes from Forever Dusk a Halloween story
released by Silver on the 29 October 2011.

Let me set the scene...Jonah has been dragged to a vampire theme club by his friend Theo and his latest flavour of the month.  We find our intrepid hero wondering what he has gotten himself into when the door is opened by the bouncer...

Feeling the sudden desire to cover every single part of his body with his hands and anything else he could find, Jonah willed himself not to move under the intensity of Adam's gaze; it felt as if Adam could see through the clothes Jonah was wearing, his eyes burning everywhere they touched. Jonah felt his stomach bottom out when he saw Adam's tongue slip out between red lips, giving Jonah the impression that Adam wanted to take a bite.
"So I see, Clarissa," Adam drawled in an accent Jonah was unfamiliar with. "Sebastian will be pleased, it's been a while since we had any new…blood." He watched Jonah swallow nervously and then his solemn expression broke and he laughed raucously. "I'm sorry, dude," he spluttered, in an accent that was pure East Coast. "You should see your face--come on in, guys, we've got a wicked crowd in here tonight."

I hope you enjoyed your little taste of Forever Dusk and don't forget to read the fantastic Sunday Sixes over at SSS .  I've give you a glimpse into my world...now go check out theirs.....until next week.

  8. LOVED! I heard this really dark scary organ music, then in a snap it switched to house music. Funny, entertaining, will definitely be buying when it's released.

  9. I just loved this six. In a few short words you set a dark and foreboding stage only to snap us back into reality, as if it were only a Halloween party. Except there is that sticky feeling in the tummy that suggests your first impression may be the right one to anticipate. And the book cover is superb - snakes outta the eyes of an apple? Clever and more than a little ominous...keep writing. This is definitely on my list to buy:) xo
