She apologized for making changes and suggestions, but, everything she said made perfect sense and more than polished my book.
I may not have the same proofreader everytime, I'm not sure how many my publisher has on staff. LOL But, I cherish their time and dedication to making my books the best they can be.Davee Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09939904353100495515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6466058032603963113.post-11247214898992404012012-01-14T21:58:50.341+00:002012-01-14T21:58:50.341+00:00Awesome post! I've never experienced a beta reader but I do have rotating critique partners from time to time as their schedule permits.Johnny Mileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17072422528573071309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6466058032603963113.post-7562863638854964552012-01-14T21:33:53.379+00:002012-01-14T21:33:53.379+00:00Far too many writers make the mistake of believing...Far too many writers make the mistake of believing a proof reader isn't necessary. I wholeheartedly believe they are, as you said, essential. Having someone read your work who is able to look at it with a fresh perspecive can make not only the current work better, but assist a writer in learning the mistakes they may commonly make when writing and prevent them from occurring in the future. It's a great way to learn and improve.
Thanks for the awesome post Lisa!Lady Gina Kincadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05433070596893516438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6466058032603963113.post-29427520154158864252012-01-14T21:12:05.184+00:002012-01-14T21:12:05.184+00:00Oh, I couldn't agree more. You can only read and re-read your own work so many times and still not see the flaws. You need that extra pair of eyes.sue laybournhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14549268075528924978noreply@blogger.com
